While most people are enduring boring conversation and monotonous work at internships, I'm thinking about more ways to relax and have fun. After I recovered from having knee surgery, a few friends who are true gold and blue students (meaning we live here all year), made a road trip to Oakland, Maryland.
I was born in raised in southern West Virginia. My town is so small that when people ask where I'm from, I tell them Boone County instead of Madison. A lot of people from a small town use this technique.
There is absolutely nothing to do in Madison besides create things to do. The Boone County website list Kroger and Goodwill buildings as "sites to see". There's nothing to do in a small town, so my high school friends and I went camping in the mountains often.

Summer
Everyone loves summer. I love Morgantown summer because:
-Consistent, warm weather
-No traffic!
-Bars that have just enough people so I can order a drink in less than 60 seconds and meet new people
But as much as I enjoy spending the summer in Morgantown, we all need to take a time out from our completely pointless jobs to take a
Road trip!

Project 2
Anyone who attends WVU knows that Morgantown, West Virginia is an exciting place. But any Motown resident can admit that during the school year, the overcrowding of students and moody weather puts a strain on the natives. I consider myself a member of this community since I've lived here for the past three and half years. Unlike most students, I don't go home during the summer. Everyone is ready for summer by May, student or not.
